Israel Indicted

The book of Micah opens with God's appearance over Israel like at Mt Sinai in Exodus. He has come to judge the rebellious, unjust people.

Corrupt Leaders

Israel's leaders violate the Torah as they accept bribes, bend justice, favor the wealthy and steal land from the poor. God will judge them severely.

Hope and Restoration

Although God accuses and warns the people, He also gives them hope. He will shepherd the faithful remnant and gather all the nations to Israel.

Messianic Kingdom

After the Assyrian attack and Babylonian exile, God will restore His people in their land with a new Jerusalem, a Messianic King and no evil.

Future Hope in God

Israel begs God to listen to and forgive them, and He will because of His merciful character and covenant promise to Abraham and His people.
