Festivals of the Lord (6 of 7)

The Day of Atonement occurs just ten days after the Feast of Trumpets (1). The Day of Atonement was the day the high priest went into the Holy of Holies (2) each year to make an offering for the sins of  Israel (3).

This feast is symbolic of the time when God (4) will again turn His attention back to the nation of Israel after “the full number of the Gentiles (5) has come in, and . . . all Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:25–26). The Jewish remnant who survive the Great Tribulation will recognize Jesus (6) as their Messiah (7) as God releases them from their spiritual blindness (8) and they come to faith (9) in Christ.
